OH sorry about that. I guess you aren't one to just ignore it? Yeah, neither am I.
Thanks for posting this pic. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who does stuff like this. I would probably throw it at the nearest wall, put it in the "bad knitting" drawer for a few days and work on something else, and then rip back and redo. Not that I am telling you what to do or anything... :)

I'd leave the mitten alone and knit the second one exactly the same, mistake and all. Then it looks as if you designed this way.
